BEHIND THE PRODUCT: LAVANDULA

The inspiration, design and production process behind our first leather style πŸ’œ

XO SV,

 Gemma & Raquel

TRADITIONAL, MEET MODERN

Our design philosophy is pairing the traditional - our timeless, wooden soles, with modern, fresh and unexpected uppers - PVC, embroidery and now, luxe, on trend leather.

MATERIAL EVOLUTION

While releasing a standard leather clog would never make sense for us, we loved the texture of this subtle metallic lavender and how closely it allowed us to branch out into leather clogs while remaining true to our brand.

Not to mention, there is a reason clogs are typically made from this durable, comfortable material - especially during the summer months when you need to breathe a little.

SOURCING

We went on a journey to source just the right leather - much like our PVC, it had to be strong but not tough nor uncomfortable against the skin.

We went a few rounds of samples to ensure the leather would brake in just right and not become too loose or remain to snug with wear.

AN IDEA INTO A REALITY

Like all our designs, we work with our small, wife and husband manufacturing team to cut and nail each pair of Lavandula completely by hand in San Francisco.

We’re particularly proud of this style as, like Crystal, it is a throughly on brand interpretation of a trend that also makes so much sense for and extends our aesthetic.

We hope you love Lavandula just as much as we do πŸ’œ.
